The Road Not Taken
The Road not Taken is an online exhibition of prints by James Anderson. It includes a number of recent multi-plate abstract compositions in combinations of aquatint, soft ground etching and carborundum collagraphs. Also included are a number of other colour and black and white prints demonstrating the range of James’ printmaking over recent years.
The exhibition had originally been planned to take place at Slaughterhaus Print Studio, London SW9 in April 2020; it will be rescheduled in due course.

About James
James Anderson is an artist / printmaker. He spent much of his adult life as a doctor but has always been interested in the visual arts and now spends a lot of his time printmaking. He is interested in the expressive power of line, gesture and colour. These are issues he likes to explore in his work, much of which has been in intaglio printmaking. However he has been excited by the possibilities that carborundum collagraphy affords because it allows much of the directness and expressiveness of painting.
